i hope they don’t come home yet
i thought as i licked chocolate off the tampon wrapper
i would have thrown it away
but it’s close enough to when my period should come
that i couldn’t risk not having one
so instead i sat on their front lawn licking chocolate
off the tampon wrapper
and the pen
and the lotion bottle
and the gift card
and my fingers
and then i couldn’t figure out where to put the melted reeses
forgotten inside my purse from last night’s movie
so i ate them
chocolate smearing on my face
and fingers
and a pile of crumpled wrappers laying in the grass
laughing all the while
about the tampon
gross!
Depends on your point of view I suppose. I just thought it was funny.
