The question is not “To be or not to be.”
I know Louis had this problem. I think I had this conversation with him in our living room. But then again it might have been hanging out one night in his room. There were a lot of such conversations in our house.
As I came to find out, it was a problem for both of us. As much as you can consider such things a problem that is. He’d been late to school, to work, probably to a lot of things over the years. And as I quickened my step, five minutes late to my meeting, I smiled. It’s rarely a question of to do or not to do. It’s more a question of when to stop. It’s easy to lose track of time and just keep going. Kinda like eating a bag of candy. You tell yourself you’ll stop at three pieces, but unless you pay attention it’s way too easy to have the fourth…
I’ve always had a hard time not mixing business with pleasure.
