I am so sick of everyone getting married and starting a blog, only to write three posts and abandon it! People need to practice responsible blog ownership. And for that matter, this goes for all you people who only update sporadically *cough* Eve, Daniel (seriously FrozenBlog is like a ghost town…), Ben, Matt, Kristine *cough*. Don’t you understand I need stuff to read at work?

But my rant aside, I really am sick of everyone on facebook being all, “Me and (insert husband’s name) got a blog! Go check it out and www.willneverupdateit.blogspot.com.” So I check it out, somewhat interested in gaining a new blogstalking victim. It seems promising because for the first week or two I get pretty regular updates and then… nothing! For months! Until the people finally remember they started a blog and write some lame post titled “OoPs! UpDaTeS aNd SuRpRiSe!” in which we find out they forgot to update their blog (surprise!) and they’re pregnant (not really a surprise…)!

Or alternately, in a slightly better but still annoying scenario, they put EVERYTHING on there. They blog about their trips and include every single picture taken on the trip. Every. Single. Picture. And they write about the mundane minutiae. Like, “Today me and (husband) went to eat at ChuckARama. I couldn’t eat the whole plate, but he had FOUR!!!!! Then we went home and watched The Hills. He hates it, but I make him watch cuz there sooooo funny. Then I baked a cake. Well that was our day! G’night ;) ” GAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! Yes. It is the everyday stuff that makes reading interesting. Stories about your kids. Things you and the hubster or roommates did together. The craft or baking or whatever projects you like to do. Those ARE interesting! Just not a blow-by-blow account of what you ate, how many times you chewed it, and so forth on every single post.

I know I’m preaching to the choir here. Most, if not all, who read this update regularly and do not post crappy posts. I just wanted to rant about those who do.
